Mahindra XUV400 electric SUV garners over 10,000 bookings in under a week

Mahindra has received over 10,000 bookings of the Mahindra XUV400 since bookings for the electric SUV opened on January 26. The introductory prices announced were applicable for the first 5,000 of these reservations.

Mahindra XUV400 deliveries, waiting period

Mahindra will now deliver these 10,000 units over the next seven months starting in March 2023. With its current supply chain status, the company plans to deliver 20,000 units of the XUV400 within a year of launch. Deliveries will begin with the top EL variant with the lesser EC variant being delivered from Diwali 2023.

Mahindra XUV400 range, battery, charging

The top Mahindra XUV400 EL features a 39.4 kWh battery pack with an ARAI-certified 456 km range while the base XUV400 EC uses a 34.5 kWh pack with 375 km of range. A 7.2 kW AC charger will top the battery up in 6.5 hours via a regular three-pin socket will do it in 13 hours. A DC fast charger will get the XUV400 up to 80 per cent charge in 50 minutes. The NMC battery-pack is IP67 dust and water-resistant.

Mahindra XUV400 performance

The Mahindra XUV400 is powered by a 150PS and 310 Nm electric motor that lets it get from 0 to 100 kmph in 8.3s and reach a 150 kmph top speed. The EV also gets drive modes and a braking mode.

Mahindra XUV400 features, safety

The XUV400 gets equipment like a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto/Apple Carplay, a single-pane sunroof, drive modes, OTA updates, keyless entry, powered mirrors, auto headlamps and wipers, leatherette seats, driver seat height adjustment and climate control. Safety features include six airbags, disc brakes all around, ESC and ISOFIX child-seat mounts.

Mahindra XUV400 prices

Mahindra hasn't announced the final prices for the XUV400 but introductorily prices started from Rs 15.99 lakh for the XUV400 EV with the 3.3 kW charger, going up to Rs 16.49 lakh for the 7.2 kW version. The top XUV400 EL was initially priced at Rs 18.99 lakh.
