Volkswagen launch the Polo and Vento Matt edition at Rs 9.99 lakh onwards
Volkswagen India has just launched a special edition of the Volkswagen Polo and Volkswagen Vento and is calling it the Matt edition. The Polo Matt edition will start from Rs 9.99 lakh while the Vento Matt edition will be priced at Rs 11.94 lakh.
VW has incorporated gloss black components such as ORVMs, door handles, and rear spoilers to match the matte finish and provide a sense of luxury contrast. It's painted in matte grey and has the GT TSI logo at the C-Pillar. The matte finish paint job looks exceptional and could quite easily cause many heads to turn.
The Volkswagen Polo and Vento Matt edition is launched just a day after the VW-Skoda group launched the Skoda Rapid Matte edition.
On the inside, it is the same business as usual. Volkswagen hasn't tweaked around the interiors of the cars, so that means both vehicles get features such as a touchscreen infotainment system, cruise control, USB connectivity, footwell lamps, a rear parking camera, rear AC vents, rain-sensing wipers, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, automatic climate control and cruise control.
Dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, hill hold control, and electronic stability control come as standard safety equipment on the Polo Matte edition.
The Polo and Vento Matt edition is powered by a 1-litre TSI engine that produces 110PS and 175 Nm of torque. A six-speed automatic gearbox is included in the package.
Commenting on the launch, Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India said, "Polo and Vento are our class-leading products and they have been setting new benchmarks in their respective categories since their introduction. Today, I am delighted to launch the limited Matt edition models of both the carlines for our discerning customers, who want to stand out from the crowd. We are confident our customers will thoroughly enjoy driving these cars with an understated elegance, which offer superior quality, German engineering and TSI powered fun-to-drive experience."
Both the cars are available on sale from today at your nearest Volkswagen dealership.
